This is a HTF, ivory carving "Uting", created & blessed by LP KrubaWang, Wat Banden, Tak Province, Early 2500s. It's a man and a woman figures having an esthetic, happy moment on the elephant back.

Utings have been created several hundred years back in the Northern region for wooing girl efficaciously. They are extremely charming and fascinating to ladies. Meanwhile, they bring in great fortune, flowing money and prosperous business to the owner.

Materials used for creating Uting amulets are animal hide, animal bone, ivory, and metal.

Ivory carving Uting is most popular for wealthy noblemen to carry for wooing and attracting girls because of its classical and enchanting look nature.

POWER OF UTING:

The power of the "Utiting" as inscribed in ancient northern texts states that:

1) If carried, one will be loved by people and celestial beings.
2) If carried, any undertaking will be smooth and free from all obstacles.
3) If carried on long journeys, it will provide protection, safety, and good fortune.
4) For trade, soak it in holy water and sprinkle the merchandise; the goods will sell well and easily.
5) If carried when negotiating business or meeting important and influential people, they will show kindness and provide excellent assistance.
6) If placed in a dwelling, it will bring prosperity in wealth, an abundance of necessities, and plentiful food.

A COMBAT PRINCE:

Actually, Uting is the name of a prince in northern Thailand in the past. He is very skilled in combat.

Prince Uting will raise his army to attack various cities and take them to be colonies. He would sit on the neck of the leading elephant to lead his army into battle.

Uting expanded his land until he had a large territory. And every time he conquered a city, Uting would then invite a princess of that city to ride on the elephant back to return to his home country.

Of course, the princess on the back of the elephant will become his wife later on.

Prince Uting is good at fighting. He is an idol in among the princesses of various cities because of his combat ability and bravery.

The story of Price Uting is popular in the Northern region of Thailand.

Later, when Prince Uting died, the northern monk masters created the image of Prince Uting sitting on the the elephant neck, and a princess sitting at the back.

GOES ONE, RETURNS TWO:

Uting sitting on the elephant tells us his heroic story, when he is going out to fight, he goes alone. But on the return journey, there will be a princess of the conquered city sitting at the back. That is, prince Uting goes alone, but returns two - this is a real life great profit.

THE NOBLE & WELTHY'S AMULET:

Uting amulets have been very popular in among the noble and wealthy people of the northern region including central Bangkok.

A lot of old-time people paid highly respect and very cherished on Uting amulets.

When they were getting old, they had told their children that if they die, it's a must to put their Uting amulets into the coffin as well.

This is because Uting amulets have supported them a happy and wealthy life, staying safe from all dangers, and also so many beautiful ladies surrounding them.

Utting amulets have been created in the northern region of Thailand several hundred years ago. The creation processes are very difficult and full of many complicated rituals.

Those who have the ability to create Uting amulets must have completed the incantations in the fields of MahaSaneh, MahaChok, MahaLarp, and MahaKlaewKlaad.

There are very few masters who have completed all of those mentioned incantations. One of them who is a top able of the country is KrubaWang, Wat BanDen, Tak Province

KRUBAWANG'S BIO:

LP KrubaWang was a Lamphun Province's dweller. He was born in the lineage of a prince ruler of Lamphun. His original surname was "Na Lamphun", born in B.E. 2434.

Ordained a Buddhist monk in B.E. 2455 with PhraAchan Kanthiya as his preceptor. He stayed at Wat BanPaen, Muang Lamphun District, for 3 years.

After that, he pilgrimed north into the deep forests of ChiangMai and ChiangRai provinces to practice his ultra meditation for 2 years.

In B.E.2460, he left the forest and pilgrimed southward to Tak Province. He stayed in his umbrella tent in a grove near Wat DenKratai which at that time was an abandoned temple.

The villagers saw his excellent behavior and believed in. They invited him to live and develop Wat DenKratai. Since then, the temple was gradually getting better.

ADVANCED INCANTATIONS:

During that time, he went to study advanced incantations with LP Xin of Wat MakhuaJae until he completed incantations of MahaSaneh, MahaChok, MahaLarp, and MahaKlaewKlaad.

LP KrubaWang was able to summon birds that flying in the mid air to cling on his shoulder.

He was also able to summon all kinds of animals to sit on his lap without running away. Most of those animals will fall asleep happily on his lap and feel safe.

GREAT HEALER:

LP KrubaWang and the villagers helped build Wat DenKratai temple until it was completed allowing monks and novices to come and study Dhamma

Later, he changed the name of Wat DenKratai to a shorter name "Wat BanDen". Since then it became a famous temple. There is a continuous stream of devotees coming to pay homage to him every day.

During that time, he helped the people by treating various diseases with herbs and his strong meditative power. Even the mentally ill, he was able to treat until they recovered. This made his reputation spreading throughout the northern region.

TEACHER OF THE EX PM'S FATHER:

One of the close disciples who highly respected LP KrubaWang was Khun Sophit, who was the father of FM Thanom Kittikachorn, a former Thai PM.

LP KrubaWang passed away in B.E. 2516 at the age of 82. He had been ordained as a Buddhist monk for 62 years, and was the abbot of Wat BanDen for 56 years.
